The newest generation of artists of virtuosity and power are set to take the stage next month in Campbell River, PowellRiver and Sointula. AU Tour Dance Company, founded in 2024 by Arts Umbrella, is a new professional contemporary dance repertoire company from Vancouver, featuring 14 exquisite emerging dancers. This exciting new performance and creation company features innovative dance works from international choreographers that enhances and utilizes the skills of emerging dancers from British Columbia and around the globe. These beautiful professional dancers, who all graduated from Arts Umbrella’s world renown professional training program, represents the succession of creative and performing talent that BC arts is cultivating.

Under the artistic direction of Artemis Gordon, the company’s repertoire reflects the themes and influences of contemporary art and culture.

“We could not be prouder to be presenting BC’s newest professional repertoire company, a much-needed and very important addition to BC’s and Canada’s dance landscape!” says BC Movement Arts’ Artistic & Executive Director and Co-Founder, Mary-Louise Albert.

The company’s debut will feature an evening of mixed repertoire from four international choreographers, each well-established and accomplished in their respective style. In an event heralding the burgeoning cultural scene on the West Coast, AUCompany is proud to announce its inaugural performance. The evening promises to be a rich tapestry of artistic expression, featuring a diverse collection of works from four distinguished international choreographers.

This collaboration is emblematic of the vibrancy taking root in the region's performing arts community, reflecting a flourishing environment that nurtures emerging talents.Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast are quickly becoming recognized as dynamic landscapes where the performing arts thrive and evolve.

Join us for a transformative evening where passion and creativity converge, igniting inspiration for the next generation of performers and audiences alike.
